the year is coming to an end and Christmas is around the corner. this is a season of celebration, love, peace and joy. even before i being a christian, i always felt that Christmas is a very loving and heart-warming holiday, as if there were angels everywhere, hearing them singing carols, people receive gifts, is like a universal event, the whole world just love Christmas. as a 2.5 yrs christian, these feeling of Christmas doesnt change much. but i have more understanding of the reason behind that. that is a savior was born in this day. Jesus, a gift from God, in John 3:16 has mentioned that for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. we felt being love because God gave Jesus as a gift to us, we felt at peace because Jesus is our salvation.
when it comes to the end of year, i always felt a lot because it is an intermediate season between an ending and a new starting. it gives me a complex feeling. one year with 12 months is neither long nor short. what need to be changed, should have already changed. but what if you still remain as where you are, or merely made just a insignificant progress? what if you experienced setbacks after setbacks, problems and bigger problems? does it mean that all the problems are going to end or is another year of setbacks and problems? and what if you had started the year with a lot of expectation, with small victories along the way but ended up with wounds all over? what is your vision for the new year? do you have enough courage to take on the challenges?
Christmas is place on the last holidays of the calendar for a reason. meaning a new year is here, just like when Christ was born, a new era began, from BC to AD, two thousands years ago. remember Christmas, remember Christ, is He who gives us a new year and a new life. if Jesus can create a new era, He can give you a new vision, new solution, new ideas and a new beginning. all the setbacks, failures, problems even victories that you have dont matter to God. i believe what matter most is your attitude. are you dare to breakaway from the tradition? are you willing to endure the process of transition? do you have the capacity to contain the transformation? and do you have the courage to believe?
the choice is yours. the choice is also mine. for now, i have make up the choice to believe that this coming Christmas is going to be the best ever. Christmas services + drama + carnival + party + carols + candle light + friends + games + gift + God! :0 rocks man.
Merry Christmas!
