Emerge finale

2007 emerge conference has came to an end. they're many great things and happenings that i dont really have time to blog. i just realised my reach home timing was over 12 midnite for whole of the past one week, has been a very exciting and tiring week though. i kind of feel like summarising the event.

Day 1
The big bang was that the conference was broadcasted live globally. we spent quite some time praying before it started. atmosphere there was so high as we praised God. energy was the most high on that day with all the POS teams showcases, it was non-stop excitements, not a single moment without cheering and clapping. another highlight was that Tank came and performed. he shared and encouraged youth to pursue their dreams. F.I.R was there attending the conference also. pst kong shared about how important to have visions. he wanted to pray for all the uni students at the end, but there were really too many ppl, not all get a chance then.

Day 2
i cant recall much now as i was getting a bit tired that day. but still it was extraordinary great to sing praises during emerge. it was the first time that we sang praise in japanese. ultimately we sand in english, chinese and japanese. everything seem to somehow have double power during emerge. it was wonderful to worship God with 8k over ppl who were passionate together. there was beauty pagents... then the project superstars came, diya and darren. they are believer too, and they performed and encouraged us to be daring. pst kong shared sth about courage also.

Day 3
this was a very happening day. our mr. businessman wahyou(cant spell) share a powerful testimony about how he from a small storekeeper and become a multi millionaires now and still on fire for God, preaching the gospels in the marketplace. liugenhong performed that nite, then together with his partner wings. when he was singing the second songs, he walked down from the stage and proposed to his girlfriend, vivi. everybody got surprise and cheering for him then. infront of so many ppl, she had no way but to say i do. the atmosphere got very romatic as he sang love song from his new album. following that they was a video showing how sun's kindergarden in a rural china was builded. it was sun's birthday on that day. she got touched by the video and tears all over her face as she went up to the stage and we sang birthday songs to her. even pst kong cant hold his emotion as he got so touched. sun's manager was called up to share how she from a non-believer and who dislike sun, and became a believer and sun's manager and friend now. it was so touching and happening nite that we could tear till our eyes running out of tear. pst kong almost running out of time to preach. he actually never preach wad he planned but by his holy spirit, he preach a short message on love. very short, but so good. Jesus asked "Do you love Me?" repeated 3 times. the presence was so strong as we bowing down worshipping God. it was a overflowing wonderful beautiful loving nite.

Finale
This was the last day to chiong for emerge. very looking forward to the finale as the best is saved for the last. after long a queuing, really excited when got into the hall and gotten good seats. the opening rock again just like on thursday. our businesswoman, elim chew, founder of 77th street came up and shared her testimony on how she grow up in chc and successfully bring Christ into the 7 pillars of the society. there was a lot of prize presentation, the champion was jc/ci and ntu got the 2nd runner up. pst kong preached a very powerful message which i found it boring and lost in the beginning but he actually took us for a roller coaster ride. the sermon was suddenly became alive towards the end. very amazing. we never get tired to praise and worship God. i found it too short as it came to an end. it was a nite of celebration for those who have chionging emerge for the past few days, those who won competition and those who have emerged with Christ.
